1. Who pays for the visit?

• Insurance coverage or use a HSA/FSA card payment or a cash based payment plan.

• Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) and Highmark PPO Plans: 

Please call your BCBS plan to make sure they cover "Registered Dietitian Nutritional        Counseling Services".   Most nutrition visits are coverage but not all BCBS plans cover nutritional services.

• Aetna Plans:

Please look at your providers directory online to make sure HYN is a provider for your plan.  HYN is a provider for most all Aetna plans except Medicare or Medicaid Aetna plans.  Again, verify if your have nutrition visits as part of your Aetna plan before booking.

• I do not take Medicare or Medicaid.  Medicare will only cover limited visits for diabetes care, kidney disease and kidney transplant intervention.  So, if you do not have these diagnosis, Medicaid will not cover it.  You can still make an appointment with Healthy You Nutrition , but I can not bill Medicaid because I have "opted-out" and can not bill the secondary either.  However, I can bill a commercial insurance that is not a part B insurance.  HYN has low rates for out of pocket visits and those costs are listed under the services provided below.

2. Choose your day and time from the scheduler below:

• Telehealth appointments are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and limited Saturdays.​

3. After scheduling the appointment:

• Expect an "Opt-in" email and texts messages to verify your email once you have booked an appointment. 

• You will receive the appointment confirmation, shared documents to sign BEFORE the appointment, the link for the appointment and Nutrition IX food tracker sign-up link all in one email.
