My Food Philosophy
Practical, non-restrictive nutrition for real life.
Seeing a Registered Dietitian is not only about weight loss. It is about building a healthier body, improving quality of life, and making changes that can add years to your life and life to your years.
Over time, many people become disconnected from their natural hunger, fullness, and satisfaction cues. Stress, dieting culture, busy schedules, and rigid food rules can make eating feel confusing or out of control. My approach helps you rebuild trust with food and trust with your body through practical, skill-based support.

As a mindful eating practitioner and Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, I focus on realistic strategies you can repeat in real life. Sessions may include hunger and fullness skill building, satisfaction strategies, structured meal routines, and eating behavior counseling for patterns such as skipping meals, overeating, emotional eating, and all-or-nothing thinking. Nutrition guidance is individualized and designed to fit your schedule, preferences, culture, and health goals.

Food is part of daily living, not a test you have to pass. Small, consistent choices can support heart health, metabolic health, gut health, brain health, energy, and overall well-being. My goal is to help you simplify decisions, reduce guilt, and build steady habits that support your health now and for years to come, one step at a time.
My Story
I am Cindra Holland, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), entrepreneur, and mom with 30 years of experience in nutrition care. My interest in nutrition started in high school as a runner, when I learned that energy, performance, and overall health were closely connected to what I ate. With encouragement from a trusted mentor who was also an RDN, I pursued a clear path into the profession

Over the years, I have built experience across community nutrition, clinical practice, and leadership as a director of a nutrition training program. Those roles, along with my work as an entrepreneur, shaped the practical, real-life approach I bring to Healthy You Nutrition. My work also became personal when I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2005. Living gluten free has shown me that change can be challenging, even when it is necessary. That lived experience helps me support clients with realistic strategies that fit daily life.

My mission is to help you navigate the hard parts and build steady, sustainable habits with food and lifestyle. Healthy You Nutrition provides virtual (telehealth) nutrition counseling for clients in Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. With advanced training in weight management for adults and children, I support clients who want help with eating behaviors, meal consistency, and metabolic risk reduction, including those using weight loss medications who want nutrition and behavior strategies to strengthen results.
